Deutsch Malayan Ventures (DMV) launched today in Kuala Lumpur, heralding a cross-border partnership for precision inbound investment into Malaysia.
The new venture will be co-Chaired by Dr Cornelius Boersch, a tech-sector entrepreneur and political leader from Germany, and Datuk Wira Dr Hj Rais Hussin, a visionary, well-respected businessman and investor, prolific columnist and speaker, and reluctant political strategist.

Dr Boersch, the keynote speaker at the launch event at Banyan Tree’s Horizon Grill, said he is “Proud to be part of an initiative to bring world beating technology and long-term capital partners to Malaysia.”

Datuk Wira Dr Hj Rais Hussin remarked that this venture will bridge Malaysia to its strategic commercial allies in Europe and across Dr Boersch’s network of fifteen offices around the world, sourcing much needed inbound direct investment.

Mr Asad Sultan, a veteran investment banker whose 30 years career in Asia spans Citibank, Daiwa and Macquarie Bank, will head operations as Chief Executive Officer. “I am delighted to return to Malaysia to help position the country as a springboard into the exciting growth markets of the ASEAN economic zone.

Deutsche Malayan Ventures will provide bespoke cross-border advisory services for investment and execution of high-value projects in Malaysia, working with other leading stakeholders in government, banking and industry.
